Munich was founded by Maria Hinds and is based in Dublin, Ireland and New Orleans,
Louisiana. Maria graduated from NCAD (National College of Art and Design) in Dublin
in 2000. That makes her middle aged. And that means she has a lot of experience in
various visual realms. Maria has worked in Dublin’s leading design agencies Image Now
and Language Communications before establishing Munich design.
Munich has an international client base and concentrates mostly on the cultural sector,
working closely and collaborating with international artists and artists residencies. Munich
volunteers its design and copywriting skills to political campaigns and causes of worth.
Munich’s aesthetic is a minimalist reference, while always allowing content to dictate form. In
a world that is all too often wounded by the bombardment of visual stimulation, as a designer,
munich provides aesthetic moments of respite. munich’s work is instilled with a conceptual
integrity, and engages viewers to participate in an active experience.
In addition, creative director, Maria is a founding member of collective, ‘Workgroup’, a member
of the International Coalition to Free The Angola 3, and board member of The House That
Herman Built. She maintains her own visual arts practice. Look at her drawings here.
